About Us
We first ran Hope Cottage Tours in 2004 for three years and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We loved meeting guests from all over the world providing dinner bed and breakfast and taking them to the various picturesque and interesting places in the area that they wanted to visit.
Our business was building nicely with several visitors returning the following year when a once in a lifetime opportunity arose and Bob and I bought our village pub, The Red Lion. We had a dream of providing quality, locally sourced, home cooked meals and real ales. This came to fruition and the pub became the hub of the village; we featured in several pub and beer guides and won the Campaign for Real Ale Pub of the Year for South Oxfordshire for 2009 and 2012.
However, after five hectic and enjoyable years at the helm we decided to hand on the pub and resurrect our bed and breakfast business at Hope Cottage. We are lucky to live in such a delightful area and love sharing it with visitors.
