One of the things many of our guests have commented on is how much they have enjoyed feeling part of village life.
Many of them visit the church and some have even managed to catch a village event such as our annual Village Fete, Summer Concert or our annual music festival, Brightfest.

Here are a few examples of some of the things we get up to in Brightwell cum Sotwell and you are welcome to join us.
This is held on the first Saturday of July. The Village Fete really is on of the highlights of the year and all our guests who have managed to go have been enchanted.
Our Village Fete
Readings, songs, playlets, poems, a little bit of everything with performers of all ages. Just the thing for a summer evening with Pimms served in the churchyard in the interval.
Summer Concert
Wassailing takes place in January each year. Its an ancient ritual, the purpose being to awaken the apple trees and to scare away evil spirits to ensure a good harvest of fruit in the autumn.
